Freeman Music Update

It has been a very busy fall for the Freeman Music Department. Our year started off with the HS band
performance at Community Days on August 17th . We immediately began our pep band season, and have
been playing at home volleyball and football contests. We will soon begin meeting before school for
jazz band rehearsal. On October 4th during our homecoming activities, the high school and junior high
band marched in the homecoming parade, and the junior high performed during halftime of the football
game. The following day, the high school band traveled to Grand Island to participate in the Harvest of
Harmony parade. The choir has been very busy as well. Students have been busy rehearsing for their
upcoming fall vocal showcase performance on October 23rd. The students have enjoyed learning the
history of several songs from popular musicals and will be performing these songs in their showcase.
The mass choir sang the National Anthem for the Homecoming football game on October 4th, and
members of the choir have also performed for volleyball contests. Upcoming music department dates
to remember are:

October 23rd -Fall Vocal Showcase (HS only)
November 8th – Junior High Choir Clinic at Tri County ( JH select members)
November 9th -Fall Festival Of Winds (HS select members)
November 11th – Veterans Day Program Performance (HS only)
November 12th – ECNC Vocal Clinic @ JCC ( JH/HS select members)

As always, thank you for supporting these music students!
