Falcon Program and Before & After School Care

Our Program is not an extension of the school day but complements the learning experiences of the school setting. We strive to be less structured with more informal learning opportunities. The Program is designed for children in kindergarten through sixth grade and holds an Operating Child Care Center license, which is regulated through the State of Nebraska.

We operate during the school calendar year. The Program opens each morning at 6:30 am. Parents may send breakfast food with their children. (A full sized refrigerator is available to hold a week's worth of items.) Milk and juice are included in the session cost. A toaster and microwave are also available. Freeman offers a breakfast program that will begin at 7:50 am each morning - please talk with the office regarding cost.  At 8:00 am the children are walked outside or to the gym (depending on weather) where all elementary children gather before school.

When the children are dismissed from class in the afternoons, we gather in the hallway by the south gym to take attendance and walk together to The Falcon Program. We typically arrive at 3:45 pm and then a nutritious snack is served. We have various activities that enhance the physical, social, emotional and educational development of the children with an emphasis on help with homework, fun and games, character building activities and much more! We close at 6:00 pm.

On days the district has a late start, The Program hours will change accordingly. (ex. 2 hour late start, Program opens at 8:30 am.) If the district unexpectedly closes during normal school hours (due to bad weather or other unforeseen events) or on days when there is no school, The Program will not operate.

On scheduled 1:00 pm dismissal days the Program will be available at no extra charge for enrolled children.

If interested in enrolling your child, or if you have any questions, please feel free to contact me either via email or leave a message at 402 988-2525 ext. 135.
