School Improvement

Freeman Continuous Improvement Process (CIP)

Freeman Public Schools has two committees that work towards continuous improvement. There is a staff CIP committee that meets monthly and a community CIP committee that meets a minimum of twice a year with the staff committee and the Board of Education.  These committees meet to determine the school goals, discuss issues, develop plans, and make recommendations to the administration and Board of Education to continually make Freeman Public Schools an outstanding PreK-12 school.

Our focus:

  • Builds on existing efforts to improve student achievement
  • Encourages a continuous process
  • Integrates activities and programs
  • Incorporates researched practices (Effective Schools)
  • Uses the rubric for school improvement developed by Nebraskans for Nebraskans
  • Identifies strategies for targeting areas of low-performance
