The Freeman High School Band has been busy this fall! Our first performance was in August at the park
during Community Days. We have also been providing pep band entertainment at home volleyball and
football games. For the first time, we participated in the Richardson County Fair parade in Humboldt in
mid-September. Our Junior High and High School bands performed in the Homecoming Parade and at
halftime of the football game. Our final marching band performance was in Grand Island for the Harvest
of Harmony Parade. Leading us this year is Drum Major Sadie Larkins. Color guard members are Lexi
Winkle, Ruby Hindera, Grace VanEngen, Lauren Scholz, Autumn Schoen, and Meredith Ruyle. In the
upcoming months, we will be performing for the Veteran’s Day program, have students representing
Freeman in the Doane Fall Festival of Winds Honor Band, and will perform our 7-12 winter concert on
December 16th . A huge shout out to all of our band students for their hard work!
