Second Annual Freeman Strengths Day
February 3rd was our second annual Freeman Strengths Day. We began the day with all students and staff receiving a #freemanstrengths t-shirt. We also watched a video made up of Freeman grads telling how they use their strengths. We wish to thank Taylor Sugden, Emily Klein, Eli Pelc, and Dani Busboom Kelli for being a part of this video!
After a pep rally and all-school picture, students in grades Kindergarten through 4th grade went to activities centered on the 10 strengths in StrengthsExplorer while students in grades 5-12 learned more about the 34 CliftonStrengths. The preschool students even did activities to learn about StrengthsExplorer. In the afternoon we rotated with our K-12 Falcon Families.
Sessions for the day included a career panel with four guest speakers, UNL Student Strengths Ambassadors, a TeamMates representative, ESU#5 science instructors, and ESU #5 mental health experts. It was an amazing experience led by amazing people!
We would like to thank the following people for being a part of the strengths sessions: Grant Francke, GLF Properties; Tiffanie Havelka, Career Consultant for Medical Solutions; Shaun Edgecombe, UNL-Clifton Strengths Institute; Larry Keiter, 2nd Vice President of Talent Development at Ameritas in Lincoln, Nebraska; Tess Starman, TeamMates; Jase Beam & UNL Strengths Ambassadors; Jamie Mapp, Jen McNally, Patrick Brommer & Matt Dworak, ESU #5.
We continue to share what we do with strengths through social media. Just search for #freemanstrengths. If you are curious about CliftonStrengths and would like to learn more, please contact the school.
