Our sixth grade class has just finished reading a novel called The Raft. It is a story about a young girl who is stranded on an island after a plane crash.  After completing the book, we enjoyed a visit from pilot, David Malchow.  He shared with the students what kind of education it takes to become a pilot, the safety rules he needs to follow, and some of his most memorable experiences during his flights.  We appreciated David taking the time to come and talk to the class and we learned a great deal!  It is amazing to have parents and community members visit our school and share with our young Falcons.  Thanks, David!
